Literature Scope Review

  • Literature Scope Review

A scoping review is a literature review that maps the extent, scope, or nature of research on a topic or question. Use explicit and reproducible methods to identify all studies that meet pre-specified eligibility criteria to determine whether a systematic review is needed, summarize available evidence, identify research gaps, and plan for the future. Findings: Researchers can conduct scoping reviews instead of systematic reviews where the purpose of the review is to identify gaps in knowledge, analyze a body of literature, clarify concepts, or investigate the conduct of research. While useful in their own right, scoping reviews can also be useful precursors to systematic reviews and can be. A scoping review aims to identify existing literature on a specific research question. They can also clarify concepts in the literature and define gaps in knowledge. Unlike systematic reviews, scoping reviews do not aim to produce a critically evaluated and synthesized outcome for a particular question, but rather: a scoping review, one of many different forms of knowledge synthesis, has been identified as the method of most appropriate review to map the literature on solastalgia for several reasons. First, solastalgia is a relatively new concept and scoping reviews are very useful for examining literature that has not previously been reviewed. 17 A scoping review aims to identify existing literature on a specific research question. They can also clarify concepts in the literature and define gaps in knowledge. Unlike systematic reviews, scoping reviews do not aim to produce a critically evaluated and synthesized outcome answer to a particular question, but rather ยท Map the research question. A narrowly focused search question is the key to your research. Make sure you have mapped the review questions using PCC and refined the parameters into a clearly articulated protocol. You can then use the PCC breakdown to build your search strategy. Rapid review: Evaluates what is known about an issue using a systematic review method to search and evaluate research and determine best practices. 2 2: Scope review: Evaluate the potential scope of the research literature on a particular topic. Helps determine gaps in research. See the page in this guide on Scoping,
